Quantum Rare Earth Developments Corp. CEO Featured On FOX Business News

U.S. Policy On Rare Earth Minerals Discussed

Vancouver, B.C., July 15, 2011 – Quantum Rare Earth Developments Corp. (TSX.V – QRE, FSE – BR3, OTCQX – QREDF,  CEO Peter Dickie, appeared on Fox Business News’ “Follow the Money with Eric Bolling” on July 13, 2011. The mining development corporation with operations in Elk Creek, NE was there to discuss the need for a Strategic Rare Earth Reserve in the United States. Quantum actively promotes domestic North American production of Rare Earth elements vs. Chinese import. (The video can be found at: http://fxn.ws/nGMXLf)
Fox Business News was first alerted to Peter Dickie and Quantum from his recent public commentary toward the Obama Administration, “President Barack Obama should counter China’s actions and move aggressively to set up a U.S. stockpile of rare earth material.”  Follow the Money’s panelists emphasized in tandem with Mr. Dickie the strategic importance of Rare Earths and Strategic Metals and their use in the manufacture of cell phone, HD television, missile, satellite and high quality steel components.

Together with Rare Earths, the strategic element that is employed in many of those components is Niobium.  The United States Geological Survey has stated, "The Elk Creek site, located south-east of Lincoln, NE, has the potential to be one of the largest global resources of niobium and rare-earth elements.”  Quantum has previously announced a large inferred niobium resource on the project, together with significant drill intercepts of rare earth elements (www.quantumrareearth.com).

In closing his appearance, Mr. Dickie was invited back for further discussion about the creation of a Strategic Rare Earth Reserve and the impact Rare Earths have in the United States.

Quantum Rare Earth Developments Corp., based in Vancouver, British Columbia, is an exploration company with a focus on seeking out potentially economic deposits of niobium and rare earth elements in North America and elsewhere in the world.
